Hey innsiders! How is everything going?

This is a post for innsiders that have already gone to the typical tourist things and want to go to have some fun

in the capital during the day! If you are an art, architecture, theater and comedy lover, sit down and read carefully

We don’t want you to miss a thing!!

Churches, basilicas and hermitages

Many people come to Spain’s capital to make the typical tourists’ things and it does not usually include

the best churches and hermitages that not even us know. So if you’re an architect lover this is your plan,

a super recommended route of the most famous temples of the capital, they have several things that

will surprise you!

Iglesia de San Antonio de los Alemanes. This church is in Malasaña, the place that you probably

know for being the best place to go hang out and have some drinks.

It is located in the Corredera Baja of San Pablo and has an elliptical floor, one of the few in Spain.

Is entirely frescoed, from the dome to the walls. It’s so pretty!

Colegiata de San Isidro. It is located in Calle Toledo, and it was the cathedral of Madrid until 1993,

the year when La Almudena was inaugurated.

Inside of it are the remains of Madrid’d patron San Isidro. The Madrid Free tours’ or Walking Tours’

guide will take you to visit it!

Ermita de San Antonio de la Florida. Actually is not just one hermitage, there are two, very similar

and practically next to each other. One has frescoes by Goya serving not only as a museum but as a pantheon.

There rests the painter.

If you want to visit the Hermitage of San Antonio de la Florida, go in the morning and after that you can go

to have the appetizer at Casa Mingo, a typical place in the city.

Plays and monologues

One of the best things about living in Madrid is it’s cultural offer! Almost every day of the week you can go to

the theater, to a concert  or to have a blast in a humor monologue.

Microteatro (Micro-theater) The last years are booming the so-called ‘microteatros’, which basically

consist of very small capacity rooms where everything happens right in front of you.

Places like ‘Microtheater por Dinero’ or ‘La Escalera de Jacob’ offer 15 minutes plays will definitely hook you.

Hold your breath, because you will feel part of the play!

Jamming Improvisation. I really recommend you to go to a theatrical improvisation show.

Jamming is a comedy show where the audience suggests a scene to improvise to the four actors.

Once a month they do what they call ‘La Golfa de Jamming’ where they invite a celebrity to improvise

with them. It’s absolutely hilarious!

They also have school just in case someone wants to sign up!

Hope you like the post!

And enjoy the plans!!

Our regards.
