Argüelles is a sober residential area frequented by students. In addition to the many simple tapas bars, bookstores and bakeries, the large department store on Calle Princesa and the succession of art-house cinemas on Calle Martín de los Heros stand out. A space occupied by historical buildings that were built in the middle of bourgeois expansion and that still look at us today with emblematic windows. Although formally the park where the Templo de Debod is located belongs to the Casa de Campo neighbourhood, it is integrated into the instep that forms the Argüelles neighbourhood on the map. And we cannot pass through Argüelles without disappearing into its pond and groves of palms.
