How to get to your university

Hey you! Hey you! Are you new in Madrid and worried about how are you going to get to your university? In this post we will give you some tips to go to Universidad Europea and to the IE.

Universidad Europea de Madrid

Villaviciosa de Odón Campus

Adress: Calle Tajo, s/n, 28670 Villaviciosa de Odón, Madrid

By car:
  • Take exit 69 on the M-501, towards Villaviciosa de Odón
By public transport:

If you live in the centre and want to go to Villaviciosa de Odón from one of our residences, the best option is to take a metro to Príncipe Pío, and there take the bus number 518. It will leave you at the front door!

MCI Plaza de España and Gran Vía are just one stop away by taking metro line 10; and if you live in Mi Casa Inn Moncloa, line 6 will leave you in Principe Pío in less than 15 minutes without making any transfer.

From Mi Casa Inn Salamanca you must take line 4 to Alonso Martínez and then line 10 to Príncipe Pío, it doesn’t take long though. And from Embajadores or Atocha Río, the best option is to take line 3 and change line at Plaza de España, from there it’s just a stop.

Alcobendas Campus

Adress: Av. de Fernando Alonso, 8, 28108 Alcobendas, Madrid

By car:
  • Exit 17 on the A1.
By public transport:

The best option if you live in any of our residences is to go to Plaza Castilla by Metro and, once there, take the bus Line 159 to the Avenida de Barajas stop.

The best way to get to Plaza Castilla by metro from the centre is by taking line 10. Mi Casa Inn Gran Vía’s and Plaza de España’s residents will not need to make any transfers, while Mi Casa Inn Salamanca’s residents will need to take line 4 and transfer to Alonso Martínez to take line 10.

Embajadores’ and MCI Atocha Río’s residents will take line 3 to Sol and from there get line 1 to Plaza de Castilla; and residents of Mi Casa Inn Moncloa will take line 6 to Cuatro Caminos, where they will get line 1.

IE Business School Madrid

By car:
  • Parking: Indigo Park España, S.A, Calle María de Molina, 48-50, 28006 Madrid. Just across the IE Business School
By metro:
  • Gregorio Marañón: line 7 or 10.
  • República Argentina: line 6 .
  • Intercambiador de Avenida de América: line 4 or 9.

If you prefer to travel by Metro, there are several options; and although the nearest stop would be Gregorio Marañón, if you stay at Mi Casa Inn Moncloa, you may prefer to take line 6 to República Argentina, with no need to change line. If you are staying at Mi Casa Inn Salamanca, your best option is to take line 4 to Avenida de América.

On the other hand, if your residence is Plaza de España or Gran Vía, line 10 would be ideal for you because in less than 20 minutes you will reach Gregorio Marañón.

Finally, if you are staying at Embajadores or at Mi Casa Inn Atocha Río you must take line 3 to Plaza de España and from there, line 10 to Gregorio Marañón.

By bus:

Getting to know the buses in the area is always a good option, but don’t forget that the metro is faster, more frequent and is not subject to traffic jams. Some apps such as Google Maps, Moovit or City Mapper will tell you which bus is the best for you depending on the time and stop you are at.
